Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy explains how donors can cancel recurring donations made to UniCare e.V. through our website.

1. Cancellation of Recurring Donations

Donors may cancel their recurring donation at any time.

Cancellation stops future scheduled donations under the recurring donation instruction. There is no cancellation fee.

Cancellation of a recurring donation does not automatically cancel or refund donations that have already been processed.

2. How to Cancel a Recurring Donation

A donor can request cancellation by contacting UniCare e.V. at:

To allow us to identify the recurring donation, the donor should provide:

• full name;
• email address used for the donation; and
• any available donation or payment reference.

Donors should never send passwords, PIN codes or complete payment-card details by email.

3. Processing of a Cancellation

UniCare e.V. will process cancellation requests as soon as reasonably possible.

Once the recurring donation has been cancelled, UniCare e.V. will no longer initiate future payments under that recurring donation instruction.

If a payment has already been submitted to the payment provider or banking system before the cancellation has been processed, that payment may still be completed.

4. Confirmation of Cancellation

After the recurring donation has been cancelled, UniCare e.V. will provide confirmation using the donor’s available contact details.

The confirmation means that no further donations will be initiated under the cancelled recurring donation instruction.

5. Donations Already Processed

Cancellation applies to future recurring donations only.

A donation that has already been processed is not automatically refunded because a recurring donation is subsequently cancelled.

Requests concerning payments that have already been processed are handled separately under the UniCare e.V. Refund Policy.

6. Payment Mandates

Where recurring donations are collected through a payment mandate or similar payment instruction, cancellation with UniCare e.V. stops UniCare e.V. from initiating future donations under that recurring arrangement.

Any separate rights that a donor may have under applicable banking, payment-services or consumer-protection law are not affected by this Cancellation Policy.

7. Changes to the Donation Amount or Frequency

If a donor wishes to change the amount or frequency of a recurring donation, the donor may contact UniCare e.V.

Where necessary, the existing recurring donation will be cancelled and a new recurring donation instruction will be created with the donor’s approval.

8. Refunds

Cancellation and refunds are separate processes.

A cancellation prevents future recurring donations from being initiated. A refund concerns a donation that has already been processed.
